The American Foreign Policy in the Middle East

Flawed, unfair or shortsighted at least,
It is the U.S. policy in the Middle East.

Nations act in their national interest.
But is this policy for America the best?

Yes, you care for the Jewish votes.
But, see what a U.S. Muslim notes:

Unfriendly and insulting is this policy
To Arabs and to the Islamic community.

Is it your religion, policy and creed,
That justice and world peace succeed?

Why is the result so little, so mediocre?
I wish the U.S. were an honest broker.

Let there be justice, let freedom thrive,
Both Arabs and Jews in peace survive.

Check and see your policy reviews;
Stop treating differently Arabs and Jews.

In the Holy Land, O America rededicate
To justice and mercy and truth and faith.

Note: On 12/15/01, once again the United States sided with Israel, and vetoed the UN resolution calling for the placement of International Monitors between Occupied Territories and Israel. Also see, "UN impotence over Mid-East crisis," BBC News/MIDDLE EAST/UN impotence over Mid-east crisis,
