Think about it! ...

Ibn ‘Abbâs reported Allâh’s Messenger as saying: “Five for five.”
(The listeners) asked: “What is ‘five for five?’” He replied:
“When a people break their covenants, Allâh gives their enemy power over them; when people judge by criteria other than what Allâh has revealed, poverty spreads among them; when indecency spreads among a people, plague (i.e. increase of deaths) descends upon them; when they give short measure and weight, they are struck with shortages of vegetation and famine; and when they do not pay Zakâh, rain is withheld from them.”

The 62nd major sin from al-Kabâ’ir of Dhahabi. Related by Tabarani in his Mu’jam al-Kabir with a chain close to hasan.
